Trade Catalogues

Product catalogues provide extensive sources of product information. Generally, they include precise details of the whole range of a firm’s products and detailed technical specifications which allow the engineer a complete insight into the workings of the product. A well produced catalog contains datasheets, range lists, samples and colours, price lists, design data, specifications, materials and parts and other components.

Multi-Vendor Sites:

• Electronic Engineer’s Master (EEM) - one of the most comprehensive online catalog of electronic components in categories such as semiconductors, computer hardware/software, electromechanical, optoelectronics, oscillators, filters, RF components and power sources. The site includes a search engine.

• IC Master - includes device specifications for over 135,000 base part numbers from more than 345 manufacturers. Also included are pinout and package data, "deeplinks", application notes, industry-wide second sources and cross-references, sales office and distributor information. Free registration is required.

• Fairchild Semiconductor International - provides online technical details on its products – analog, discrete, DSP, logic and interface circuits, microcontrollers, memory chips, optoelectronics: datasheets, application notes, models and simulation tools, product literature, packaging information and design tools.

• Farnell - a distributor of electronic, electrical and industrial products; with a presence in Singapore. Search the online catalogue of over 100,000 products and datasheets.

• IBM Microelectronics - includes IBM microelectronic products such as ASICs, MPEG-2 encoders/decoders, broadband, memory chips, networking, optical networks, packaging, PowerPC processors, storage networking, RF and wireless technology. Provides datasheets and product briefs.

• Intel Technical Documentation Centre - provides the latest technical information on Intel® products.

• National Semiconductor - click on DESIGN ENGINEER PRODUCT INFORMATION which provides a work environment and online resources for design engineers, and product information which is updated regularly.

• RS Components - provides searching fof a wide range of components, products and associated tools, including products from the following areas: Consumables, Electronic Components, Information Technology, Office Equipment, Tools, Cables and Connectors, Electrical Products, Power Supplies, Mechanical Products, Test and Measurement and Health and Safety.
